Renovating/Flipping property tips

1) Repaint – as mentioned above choose neutral tones which will appeal to a wider audience.

2) Recarpet – if the property has outdated coloured or patterned carpet that stands out in photos. We recommend replacing with beige and grey carpet.
If the carpet is outdated buyers might see the carpet an expense and hassle they don’t want which could greatly affect your sale price.

3) Remove and update window dressings – Dressed windows are outdated and are a personal taste item.  Privacy blinds should be simple roll downs, venetians or roman blinds in a natural colour like beige, white or grey.

4) Improve lighting – Lighting makes a big impact to your home. Your property needs to be balanced with soft warm bulbs. A room can be instantly updated with replacing overhead light fixtures.

5) Improve exterior – give the property street appeal by adding new mulch, some fresh plants and water the garden regularly in the months leading up to sale. We also suggest buying a new letterbox. Letterboxes speak a thousand words about what you’re about to enter into.
